Lomography is celebrating its 25th birthday. For the occasion, three limited editions make their appearance.

Twenty-five years ago, a group of Viennese students brought back an old Russian camera, the Lomo LC-A. In 1992 they founded Lomography. A quarter-century later, creative photographers have taken up experimental and creative photography, capturing the world in all its beauty and strangeness. It was with a Lomo LC-A that we did our first photo exhibition, Verticale, in 2004, almost 15 years ago… the — Nicolas Beaumont — 2004" align="center" lightbox="on" caption="Verticale — untitled" captionposition="left" revealfx="inplace" overlay_revealfx="inplace"]

Three 25th-anniversary limited editions

For its 25th anniversary, Lomography offers three special editions of its LC-A cameras and a leather case for the LC-A+ and LC-Wide. Still in the spirit of Lomography's 10 Golden Rules, these cameras are the worthy heirs of the Lomographic spirit — but with a hipster touch!

The Lomo LC-A+

The classic LC-A with its Minitar-1 32mm f/2.8 lens. The LC-A+ works with all types of 35mm film — colour negative, slide and black and white. It is available on the Lomography site at €299: https://shop.lomography.com/fr/lomo-lc-a-family-25th-anniversary-editions/lomo-lc-a-25th-anniversary-edition

The Lomo LC-Wide

Developed especially for the LC-Wide, the Minigon 17mm ultra-wide-angle lens opens at f/4.5. A button lets you choose between full format, square format, and half format. The LC-Wide works with all types of 35mm film — colour negative, slide, and black and white. It is available on the Lomography site at €399: https://shop.lomography.com/fr/lomo-lc-a-family-25th-anniversary-editions/lomo-lc-wide-25th-anniversary-edition

The Lomo LC-A 120

The LC-A 120 works with all types of 120 film — colour negative, slide, and black and white. It is equipped with a 38 mm f/4.5 lens. It is available on the Lomography site at €449: https://shop.lomography.com/fr/lomo-lc-a-family-25th-anniversary-editions/lomo-lc-a-120-25th-anniversary-edition

The leather case

The case echoes the leather tone of the 25th-anniversary cameras. It fits the LC-A+ and the LC-Wide. It is available on the Lomography site at €79: https://shop.lomography.com/fr/lomo-lc-a-family-25th-anniversary-editions/lomo-lca-lcw-camera-case

Lomo LC-A 25th-anniversary edition in detail

Twenty-five years ago, the world of photography changed for ever when a group of Viennese students brought back the LOMO LC-A from a trip to Prague and reinvented it. In 1992, Lomography was founded, and with it a whole photographic revolution. A quarter-century later, this revolution has spread around the globe. Creative spirits from the four corners of the world dive into experimental and creative photography, capturing the world in all its beauty and strangeness. All gathered within the community of Lomographers.
