Bayeux-Calvados Prize 2016: war correspondents
In a few days, the "Bayeux-Calvados" prize will unveil the programme for its 2016 edition, held from 3 to 9 October 2016 in Bayeux.
The "Bayeux-Calvados" prize honours war correspondents each year for their reporting on a conflict situation or its consequences for civilian populations, or on a current event bearing on the defence of freedoms and democracy.
The Bayeux-Calvados prize
Held in Bayeux, in the Calvados department, the Bayeux-Calvados prize opens its 23rd edition from 3 to 9 October. At the jury's and its president's discretion, 10 prizes will be awarded at the awards ceremony, chaired by .

More about the Bayeux-Calvados prize
Since 1994, the town of Bayeux — in partnership with the Calvados General Council — has organised the Bayeux-Calvados Prize for war correspondents, an event designed to pay tribute to journalists who practise their profession under perilous conditions so that we may have access to free information.
