Sony RX1R III, the return of the full-frame compact

The RX1R II dated from 2015. Sony starts fresh: 61 MP sensor, AI AF, redesigned fixed Zeiss 35 mm f/2 lens. The brand re-enters a segment it had left to Leica and Fujifilm.
The RX1R III, the Q3, the X100VI and the GFX100RF together signal a strong return of the fixed-lens full-frame compact. A category for photographers willing to commit to one discipline. The market is warming up on this long-neglected segment.
