There’s something new at Canon (we’ll talk about the EOS R system and image.canon soon) with the latest addition to the SELPHY range of portable printers, the square QX10.
After the CP1000, CP1200 and CP1300, Canon is expanding its range of portable printers with the SELPHY Square QX10; a revolution in terms of performance and portability.
Canon Selphy QX10
Where to start to talk about the SELPHY Square QX10? Print mode, support, portability? These three items are innovative!

Print mode
After the Zoemini printers using Zink technology, Canon implements thermal sublimation in the SELPHY Square QX10. Printing is done in 43 seconds in 4 passes:
- three main colors (yellow, cyan, magenta)
- one protective coating that protects the photos from the effects of time (photos are guaranteed 100 years).
To print, simply connect to the printer using Wi-Fi using a compatible iOS and Android device via direct Wi-Fi, using the SELPHY Photo Layout application.
Support
SELPHY Square QX10; square because the print format is square, 6.8 x 6.8 cm on Canon XS-20L photo paper of 7.2 x 8.5 cm. It has white borders and reproduces the rendering of the old Polaroids. In terms of size, the format is larger than the Instax Square (6.2 cm side) and smaller than the Polaroid (7.9 cm side). The photo paper (sticker) carries the ink and will be sold in packs of 20 sheets at a price of 16€, or 0.80€ per photo.
Portability
The SELPHY Square QX10 is really portable, it fits easily in a bag, even a small one. It measures 10.2 × 14.3 cm by 3.1 cm thick. Its battery, rechargeable thanks to a USB port, can print twenty photos. Exit the need for an external power supply.

The Canon SELPHY Square QX10 will be sold in four colors (black, white, pink and green) during the month of March at the recommended retail price of 149.99 € excluding shipping costs.
