When the Covid-19 epidemic reached France, it was the east of the country that was hit hard. The Colmar hospital is one of the hardest hit establishments. In the book Tears and Courage, Doctor Yannick Gottwalles, Head of the Emergency Department at Colmar Hospital, and Nicolas Beaumont, tell how the women and men of the hospital, but also partners and “ordinary citizens” enabled the hospital to operate and care for patients.
Thanks to an unprecedented story, based on direct testimonies of this major crisis, and images taken at the heart of the action, Larmes et courage is intended for every citizen, curious to know, from the inside, the functioning of a hospital faced with an unprecedented crisis.
