Haiti - 2012

Many travellers and guide books rate Port-au-Prince as the most dangerous major city in the Caribbean in terms of crime and personal safety, even more so than, say, Kingston, Jamaica or Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Tourism in Haiti was both cultural with famous places, including La Ferrière citadel, palace of Sans Souci or cities like Labadie and natural, with the turquoise water beaches of Jacmel .

But hit by a devastating earthquake in 2010, Haiti no longer provide the level of security consistent with tourist activities. Tourists who visit do it with cruise ships traveling in the Caribbean.
